Brand identity, logo and website
As a new digital platform dedicated to facilitate the treatment of patients with medical cannabis in Germany, Cannabis Doctors needed a branding from scratch. Although treatments with medical cannabis are legal in Germany since 2017, and that currently there are more than 100k patients benefiting from medical cannabis in the country, it is still a sensitive topic that needs to be handled carefully. Our challenge was to develop a brand that conveyed the seriousness demanded in the communication of a cannabis-related topic, but at the same time was convidative to patients open to be treated with medical cannabis and communicate to them that at Cannabis Doctors they had a safe space to proceed with their treatment.
Our brand strategy focused on showing that the company was trustworthy, caring, and commited to provide their patients with the best treatments with medical cannabis. We developed their brand identity and delivered a logo, brand guidelines and the UI design of their website.
For the logo, we went with two semicircles representing the C and D of "Cannabis Doctors". The geometric forms carry the exciting accent colors of the brand palette. In combination with the curves and the misaligned semicircles, this gives an approacheable and friendly athmosphere and can be used also as a decorative element and to create patters.
Cannabis Doctors belongs to Swiss Alpinopharma, a company that produces medical cannabis compliant with high quality standards. In addition, they conduct clinical trials so that they can provide evidence-based treatments to improve patients’ quality of life.
